Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 4 The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood Review
Once again we are back for a look at the Tales of Monkey Island series. With the greatness of chapter three behind us we have to move on to the penultimate chapter. While again, we were left on a cliff hanger moment in chapter three, we pick up right where the action left off. A quick refresher for you encase you missed it: Guybrush Threepwood was betrayed by his number one fan who gave into her greed, after escaping the mad clutches of Coronado De Cava with the not so giant voodoo sponge he is knocked out and taken back to the island this story began on - Flotsam Island.
I’ll not go into too much detail on the story line at the risk of spoiling it if you are still trying to make up your mind whether or not to buy this pack or not; which you should, by the way.
After returning to Flotsam Island you start in the hands of the Marquis De Sade, however this is short lived as a mob of locals come and storm his lab and take Guybrush to the local Courthouse to face trail and punishment.
With this game being the penultimate chapter you can forgive me for feeling that this game was a little shorter than last time, even though a lot of the puzzles are quiet complex and it is a lot harder than some of the previous chapters. The game may have felt a little shorter since we are not visiting a new area like the previous games, but somewhere we have been before. Most of the characters from chapter one are still on the island as well another infamous character from the old Monkey Island - that classic salesman, Stan.
While the game is using the same engine as all the previous chapters, I cannot say anything which I haven’t said before. It works, its looks great and the dialog is spot on for most of the characters. Also a few old school fans may pick up on subtle references to some of the older games yet again. While there is a little part of me that feels that I don’t want to be looking at the last episode just yet, I feel that this will be one hell of an ending from the Telltale team and I cannot wait to see the final episode in this game.

This game is good, with a few negatives.
