Crossbow Warrior Review

This game takes you away into a high-definition 1080p resolution cartoon story-based videogame with a little child-like touch to it. This game is about the biggest and baddest Crossbow Warrior of all time. He needs to take on a whole army and cross over 29 crazy and funny stages to get his only son back and take revenge for what the general did to his country.

Defending yourself against your enemies can be very hard sometimes because of the methods. You can jump on them (like a certain plumber), or shoot them with a crossbow it's totally up to you. Keep in mind you have a limited number of arrows so you will need to confront a number of enemies at time. Crossbow Warrior gives the game another way of playing the game if you don’t like to confront the enemies directly everytime. I prefer the plumber style simply because the crossbow has a low startup and a quick draw is not possible.

The 2D platform adventure will give the Crossbow Warrior and the player a big challenge because he needs to run, jump and fight through 29 stages with four various modes. I think this keeps the game fun for a long time because of the various types of mini games. It’s a really challenging game with some well designed levels and no checkpoints to save your progress which can be very frustrating at times. For the hardcore player this game will give you a challenge.
I think like jump'n' run, sniper, temple run and boat stages this is fun for a long run.

Between some stages you are shown cutscenes which include simple pictures with text to explain what is happening in the story. Personally I prefered some real animated movies to give the story more depth to the story mode. The story mode is very basic and in a childish gameplay touch it. So the story is very simple with the warrior saving the day.

It’s impossible to play the game in one run because of the extra challenges that are available to complete. Beside the main story you have extra challenges ‘Search for the Apple, ‘Speed Run’ and ‘Collect the Items’. This means that this game will give you good replay value for your money and will keep you up late into the night to complete the full game if you like a good challenge. And yes an achievement will be waiting when you complete the main game and all of the extra challenges. So Trophy Hunters will be well pleased with this game to complete their 100% achievement on this game.

Overall this is a good 2D platform game because of the various gameplay elements. The graphics you can compare it to a game Wii U Mario Game with high resolution art and great interactive backgrounds.
Downside is that controlling the character feels really weird and trying to jump on objects can be really annoying sometimes the hit boxes on objects are weird..
