Sticky Business Preview
The Wholesome Direct had a lot of wholesome (hah? I mean, that’s low-hanging fruit, but still) titles that I couldn’t wait to try out! One of them was Sticky Business — a game all about creating adorable stickers, printing them out, and then shipping them off; it's basically a wholesome Etsy Simulator.
In this adorable and unique title, you'll spend a ton of time just making stickers through a mix-and-match style (much like something you'd find on Canva) and then sending them off to a variety of customers. Although you spend most of your time creating motifs, you sometimes get tiny glimpses of the buyer's lives through the messages they add to their orders. One of my favourite ones, for example, is a teacher who told me a bit more about how her students react to the stickers she bought from my store; whilst I thought the idea was cute, I didn’t expect it would bring as much life to the game as it did, but building a connection with the clients really inspired me to put effort into the packaging and stickers.
The variety of stickers you can make is pretty phenomenal: despite having only some of the options available during the demo, I got to make a ton of unique motifs with different themes and styles. And with the in-game option to save them to your PC, you could even have the ones you most like actually printed out!
Whilst I was a bit nervous about the financial part of the game, Sticky Business is not punishing but does a good job of adding some spice into the mix through the printing and budgeting aspects. The better you place the stickers on the page, the more profit you make, making it a pretty interesting organisational puzzle!
There isn’t a ton to do aside from make stickers, read the customer’s notes, and ship orders out, but Sticky Business does a great job at being what it advertises: a relaxing game all about making stickers and having wholesome moments!
If you're interested in this cosy title, I couldn't recommend more that you check out the demo!
