Giant Machines 2017 gamescom Preview
I didn't get much time to look at Giant Machines 2017, it was something of a flying visit, but I did get enough of a chance to see how much it lived up to the name!
The title, which is published by PlayWay, is the latest in their machinery simulation games. They previously gave us Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 and now, they're going for much larger mechanical marvels.
We are talking here about cranes, tunnel borers and mining machines. The final level sees you taxiing a space shuttle bound for the ISS! This isn't just a sandbox game though, there's a full story mode with 14 missions to work your way through.
Code Horizon, who created the game have tried to make the simulation as realistic as possible, with fully destructible environments to give you a sense of the destruction these machines can cause, usually intentionally...
There's not really a lot else to say about the game really as sadly it wasn't available in playable form, but the screenshots that I saw were certainly very pretty, and the above snazzy trailer has been released for the title too. Look out for our full review coming soon.
