Yo-Kai Watch Coming to Europe
The multi-million selling RPG, [title] has finally been confirmed for a European release, nearly three years after the Japanese release. The game has already seen two releases in Japan, with a third set for this summer and has sold a staggering 10 million units since its release in 2013. With such strong sales, it seemed inevitable that a European release would come eventually and whilst it's taken a while, it has finally been confirmed.
Developed by esteemed Japanese games developer Akihiro Hino of LEVEL-5 Inc. and published by Nintendo, the game sees players investigate the mysterious Yo-kai, who are causing all sorts of trouble for the local residents. The Yo-Kai are the cause of common problems such as spending too much money or always feeling hungry. Trouble is, the Yo-kai can't be seen by most people. Our hero has acquired the titular watch however, which allows him to see the mischievous creatures and deal with their machinations.
Working in a similar way to the Pokémon series, our protagonist must befriend the Yo-kai and put them to battle in order to save the town. The game is exclusive to Nintendo's 3DS range of systems and features both online and local multiplayer as well as full touch-screen support. European gamers will have the chance to visit the town of Springdale on the 29th April this year.
