Xbox One Version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Released

Although we reported to the contrary, the Xbox One version of The Amazing Spider-Man has been released. But so far only in North America and only via the Xbox Marketplace.

The problem appears to be related to the disk pressing in Activision's factories, which would have delayed the game's release to stores. Rather than wait for the problem to be fixed and risk losing sales to other consoles, they seem to have decided to release as a digital-only title.

As Activision's Marvel titles were pulled from digital sale last year, some only having been out for the minimum 12-month term, it makes us wonder what will happen to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 when the digital sale term ends.
