WoW dev discusses flying in Draenor
Whether you love or hate World of Warcraft, this long lasting mmo has had ups and downs and changes throughout its lifespan. When Warlords of Draenor began, they swore that flying mounts would not be allowed in but they have decided to go back on that expansion choice.
According to the Developer blog, they will introduce a new meta-achievement called Draenor Pathfinder to the Public Test Realm.
This Achievement is gained by exploring Draenor’s zones, collecting 100 treasures in Draenor, completing the Draenor Loremaster and Securing Draenor achievements, and raising the three new Tanaan Jungle reputations to Revered.
Once you gain this Achievement you can fly across Draenor on all and every level 90 character you have.
As quoted from the blog, "We believe this strikes the right balance between ensuring ground-based content lives up to its full potential, while providing players who’ve already fully experienced Draenor’s outdoor world extra freedom to break the rules.”
While not everyone may agree with this decision, hopefully people will be satisfied enough with this middle ground decision.
