WoW Classic - Rise of the Blood God Introduces New Threats to a Familiar World
Many players of original "vanilla" World of Warcraft will fondly remember when Zul'Gurub first opened, and the popular raid has now finally come to World of Warcraft Classic in the latest Rise of the Blood God update. Just don't expect a repeat of the infamous corrupted blood incident. Check out the launch trailer above!
Firstly, deep within Stranglethorn Vale, in an ancient troll city called Zul’Gurub is a brand new 20-player raid instance. Culminating in an encounter with Hakkar the Soulflayer, the Blood God, players will first face a gauntlet of bosses (out of a pool of 13). Defeating these high-powered minions will weaken Hakkar and make the final confrontation easier for players and their 19 comrades. 120 rare and epic items are up for grabs around Zul’Gurub, including five epic pieces of gear and two mounts: the Swift Razzashi Raptor and Swift Zulian Tiger.
The Dragons of Nightmare are arriving through four portals around Azeroth. Players will need to gather allies to defeat dragons of the Green Dragonflight guarding these portals and face the formidable Nightmare Dragons.
The Twilight Hammer has appeared in Silithus, and you need to found out why. On a new high-level adventure, players will delve into Silithid hives to uncover their mysteries, teaming up with the Druids of the Cenarion Circle to do so.
Finally, on a lighter note, the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravanganza has begun at Stranglethorn Vale. Visiting Ironforge and Orgrimmar on the appointed day and speaking to the goblins there will provide players with entry instructions. Listening for the commencement shout and casting their lines, only the best will win the honour of Stranglethorn fishing champion!
Rise of the Blood God is live now for World of Warcraft Classic.
