World War Z: Aftermath's Free October Update Adds New Zombie & Daily Challenges
Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment's World War Z: Aftermath has a brand new post-launch update that adds a whole host of free content. The latest update adds two new action-packed treats just in time for Halloween: the lethal Booster zombie type and Daily Challenges.
The new Booster Zombie adds more terror to the battlefield, armed with concentrated bio samples, it enhances all other zombies in close proximity to make them even deadlier than before. This is one undead enemy you will need to keep a close eye on! Also added are World War Z: Aftermath's new Daily Challenges, giving players new opportunities to earn bonus in-game rewards daily.
But that's not all, the update also introduces rare Lore Documents that can show up on Daily and Weekly Challenge Maps. Finding them all on a single map unlocks a special passive perk for the particular level, giving players new experiences, discoveries and rewards when replaying missions through all of the games various zombie-infested locations.
World War Z: Aftermath and its Deluxe Edition are available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version available November 2nd. A next-generation edition will officially launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2022 with free upgrades and other enhancements. The brand new Horde XL mode is also due to release next year on next-gen consoles, Stadia, and PC.
