World of Tanks Update 10.0 Crosses the Line with Rubicon

Patch 10.0 for World of Tanks has been launched with a bang, and it's a pretty big bang! The trailer for the patch, dubbed 'Rubicon' shows a battle torn Paris decimated by war to pave the way for this latest update; one of the game's largest yet. Included in the patch are two new maps and an entirely new game mode called Rampage.

Rampage mode will feature a series of new mechanics to create an even more challenging environment for prospective tank commanders. Respawns, garage battles, repair spots and capture the flag will force commanders to adapt their gameplay in order to claim victory. Players will also have the new abilities Artillery and Airstrike available to inflict major damage against their opponents in battle. There are two Rampage variants, each with unique victory conditions and different team setups, letting players choose one to their liking and embark on the quest of collecting more Victory Points than their opposition—offering a new spin on standard tank warfare.

The two new maps include the aforementioned Paris map and one based around Berlin. Both maps are set in an alternate history, showing what could have happened if thousands of gamers armed with dirty great tanks had descended on the famous cities. Both maps are exclusive to the new mode for now and there is also a special season of Personal Battle Missions where players can earn the impressive Tier 10 T-22 sr. as well as boosters and unique medals for the achievement hunters.
