World of Fishing Gets Steamed Next Month

Developer Masangsoft and publisher Insel Games has announced that their MMORPG World of Fishing will be as a full version game on Steam soon. The game was released in beta this past November.

World of Fishing takes place in a real world environment, where players will create a character and begin a fishing career. Starting the game requires creating a character with their own look and abilities. Fishing in either fresh and saltwater locations and over 450 different fish with their own intelligence will help unlock a variety of fishing gear and boats to help advance in the game. Play with friends or compete in team matches will improve game ranking and/or team guilds. Keep the best catches in a virtual aquarium to show them off to friends and competitors.

“We are not only aiming at hobby fisherman and casual gamers, but also at hardcore gamers and MMO lovers, which are all part of the big Steam community,” says Patrick Streppel, CEO of InselGames Ltd. “With World of Fishing we are following the footprints of other, already successful fishing games, and yet with the MMO nature of the game set new accents in the market.”

Due to the open beta, the game has been improved according to the development studio, from the feedback that was received by players. The studio focused on reworking the characters, boats and plans are in the works to create more fishing spots in the future.

World of Fishing will be released on Steam in April. The exact date will be announced at a later date.
