Wizards of the Coast to Release D&D Games Every Year Until 2025
At a recent New York investor event, Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast unveiled their ambitious videogame initiative for D&D over the coming few years. In addition to Baldur's Gate III and a new Dark Alliance title, five unannounced D&D titles are planned for release between 2020 and 2025.
D&D's increasing prevalence in pop culture is reportedly the driving force behind this initiative. The companies are clearly looking to capitalise off the familiarity average consumers are developing for the rules, conventions and world of D&D.
Both of the currently announced titles were unveiled in 2019, and the first gameplay for Baldur's Gate III will be shown at PAX East on 27th February.
Baldur's Gate III will release for Early Access 2020 for PC and Stadia (other platforms unannounced); Dark Alliance is set to release fully in 2020 for PC and Console.

Past the big ones (Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights etc.) I didn't even know there were that many D&D games...
Is that probably for the best?
