WildStar Megaservers are Coming

A Megaserver is the joining of several servers, effectively shoving more people into a single world.

This is happening 15th October, so prepare your characters for the change! Everyone will be put into PvE, so be aware of that when you log in.

Here's what you need to know:

• The servers will close for maintenance at 5am PST (1pm BST), for up to 24 hours. To make up for this, everyone will be given a month's worth of BoomBoxes - one per day for 30 days - plus a free day of game time.
• The region lock is still in place - EU and NA.
• All characters that were on PvP realms before will be on either Luminai (EU) or Warhound (NA) and all the characters that were on a PvE server (Roleplaying realms included) will be on Jabbit (EU) or Entity (NA).
• The moment you log in you will be prompted to add a surname to your character. Unsure what sort of name suits you? Check out the official Exile naming guide, or the Dominion naming guide.
• French and German players will get access to native-language chat and advice channels.
• In the case of two guilds having the same name, the oldest one will keep it while the other will be changed in a temporary way - how to change it will be revealed soon.
• You will now be able to have up to 12 characters, up from six.
• Your items, money and friends lists will remain intact.
• If you have a level one or two character you have not used in the past 30 days, it will be deleted.
