When Will Aloft Release in Steam Early Access?

Announced during the PC Gaming Show on 2024's Summer Game Fest, Aloft is a survival crafting adventure where you'll head out into the skies to recover nature and get rid ofthe corruption. This exciting title closed out the show with a trailer that left players eager to see more, as the unique sky setting and the corruption had players excited to soar across the skies and bring nature back to the world.

Since then, it did become one of the most successful Steam Next Fest titles of June, and it's received heavy praise and expectation. With 300,000 wishlists and 25,867 followers, it's set to have a successful release, but we hadn't heard much more since then.

Now, in a new launch trailer, we got the opportunity to learn more about the title. First off, it'll be releasing on Steam's Early Access feature on the 15th of January. The launch will have the quintessential Aloft experience, giving players the opportunity to turn their favourite island into a skyship to sail across the world and push back the corruption, bringing green back to the flying islands.

It's expected to be in Early Access for a year, giving players the opportunity to chime in on their favourite features, with Astrolabe Interactive Inc. and Funcom looking to build on the things players interacted with.

Aloft releases on the 15th of January for Steam's Early Access period.
