What's New in Pikmin 3 Deluxe?

2013's Pikmin 3 has been announced for a Switch re-release under the not-so-shocking title Pikmin 3 Deluxe. What does the "Deluxe" refer to exactly? What can the—approximately 15—Wii U owners who already played the game expect to find that sets this experience apart? Read on to find out and clear your schedule for the 30th October when Pikmin 3 Deluxe launches on Nintendo Switch.

In addition to the complete Pikmin 3 experience, including the Mission mode DLC stages, Pikmin 3 Deluxe features:

• Co-op support for the entire main story.
• New side-story mission, also available to play in co-op.
• New difficulty options.
• Quality-of-life improvements: lock-on targeting and optional hints.
• Competitive multiplayer 'Bingo Battles'.

In Pikmin 3, after crash-landing on a strange planet, three survivors must befriend the planet's native—and irresistibly cute—Pikmin creatures to survive, solve puzzles, explore and ultimately find food for their species back home. It saw critical acclaim upon its 2013 release, and with these improvements and additions, it's hard to see anything other than more praise coming Pikmin's way.
