Whats New in Phasmophobia 0.10.0.0?

Along with a new map, the 0.10.0.0 update for co-op ghost hunting simulator Phasmophobia brings with it many new additions, tweaks to the existing, and some fixes to help clear up what was a intended spooky feature, and what was a whoopsie. If you happen to be an enjoyer of the game running it on a low-end machine, you will be happy to hear the team has made an effort in optimization, making the game easier to run and also cutting down on long load times!

One of the notable new stuff added in the update is the ability for investigators to hold three items at a time in addition to having an Igniter on hand. While this may sound like a small thing, removing the need to discard valuable items for a lighter is a a lot of backtracking saved! Players can also earn new ID Card badges, such as the Lighthouse Keeper and Apocalypse badges. New reward unlocks will be displayed as a popup in the mission summary screen. Finally, ghosts have a few new tricks in their repertoire, such as being able to leave single fingerprints on small lamps and TV remotes. They can now also be named Kate and Catherine.

In terms of changes, equipment can no longer be changed while taking a photo, and asking the Ouija Board about bone locations will drain sanity by 20% instead of the earlier 50%. Lighting the Summoning Circle will now end the setup stage automatically. Ghost without the Ghost Writing clue will now close books after throwing them and ghosts in general can no longer interact with paintings that have been knocked down. Shades cannot blow out flame sources or write in the book if players are present. The Banshee's AI has been improved when choosing a target. Improvements to the audio will now help players identify if a sound originated from above or below them, with sounds above being bass-boosted and muffled and sounds below being muffled and quiet.

Finally, the newest patch adds a load of improvements and fixes to the game. While we won't mention them all, the highlights include player movement no longer being affected by held equipment, fixes to ghosts and bones getting stuck in several locations, the Parabolic Microphone no longer working in the truck, Tier III Tripods having highlights in placement, and fixes to Maple Lodge Cabin's fingerprints on windows.
