We Are the Dwarves! Kickstarter

Currently on Kickstarter with over $26,000 of their $120,000 funding goal, We Are the Dwarves! is a about a team of three Dwarves who are questing to find a star - which will keep their people alive in this underground planet.

With an isometric view and real-time strategy elements, it has an active pause during battles - meaning you can leisurely select attacks without worrying about enemies murdering you in the meantime.

The game takes the concept of our universe and swaps it around. This means that space is made of solid rock, and each planet is a hollow space filled with life. The Dwarves - Forcer, Shadow and Smashfist - are astronauts, trying to find Stars, to take one home as their one has grown dim threatening their way of life.

You can play as a slasher, cleaving your way through monsters, or you can be stealthy and avoid combat. The second is made harder by the fact the monsters can hear and smell you just as well as see you. They also communicate with their kin, making stealth much more of a challenge.

The game is being developed by Whale Rock Games, from Ukraine. This is their first project, but the team is made up of veterans from titles such as Everquest, Skyforge and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky among many others.
