Watch Slime Rancher 2's Newest Trailer and Learn About the Gadget Update!

The sequel to the beloved and colourful slime-farming sim has been out on Early Access for a while now, boasting tons of adorable blobs to collect and love. But for those who have already done everything there is to do and aren't done with Slime Rancher 2, we've got some great news.

The latest content update — called Gadgets My Way — brings with it a system that further encourages creativity by adding a ton of buildings and gadgets for players to interact with their slime buddies! Make them a lounging area on the beach, watch them go round and round on the merry-go-round, or even spend some quality time pushing them on a swing! The world is now players' oyster, as whether they want a peaceful area or a playful and hectic park, there are a ton of options to play with. 

To make it even more accessible to bring any farm idea to life, Gadget Mode is also available, and it will allow an intuitive building experience. In the newest trailer, the developer showcases that it can be used to make efficient contraptions where players can speed up the collection of resources and slimes! But it is still more than okay to just make them a cute park to hang out in.

Once you've spruced up the area — whether you've made it a lounge or a self-sustaining machine — you might consider going out and exploring for a while, as aside from the 36 new gadgets, Rainbow Island is also chock-full of new discoveries to be found. This means tons of treasure pods, new weather resources, more areas to explore, and even mysteries!
