Wasteland 3 Release Date Announced

Xbox’s recent XO19 event saw an exciting new update regarding the release of inXile Entertainment’s upcoming RPG, Wasteland 3. The title will be available on all platforms —digitally and physically— 19th May 2020, and is available to pre-order now.

The original Wasteland gave players one of the first apocalyptic gaming experiences all the way back in 1988 and inspired the likes of Fallout, among countless other game franchises. The series made a triumphant return with 2014’s Wasteland 2, bringing an updated take on the CRPG genre. Now, Wasteland 3 promises to further revitalise the CRPG with streamlined, turn-based combat, co-op play and an overall well-polished experience.

Players will yet again take on the role of apocalyptic lawmen, The Desert Rangers, this time leaving the southwestern desert and heading for the icy wastes of Colorado. The Rangers will encounter all manner of characters and situations on their travels as they strive to reconstruct the ruins of civilisation. As a result of Microsoft’s acquisition of InXile Entertainment, Wasteland 3 will be available on Xbox Game Pass upon release, although the game is not console exclusive and will be available on all other platforms. It’s also up for pre-order now, with several bonus items on offer for players who purchase the pre-order version of the game, including:

• Polished Ranger Badge
• Snow Camo Weapons

Wasteland 3 is available for pre-order now. It will release 19th May 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, Windows, Mac and Linux.
