Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is Getting a Free Roguelite-Inspired Update
Fatshark has announced that a huge free content update, known as Chaos Wastes, will be coming to Warhammer: Vermintide 2 on the 20th April for PC, with console version planned for release "as soon as possible", according to the developer.
No doubt inspired by the slew of outstanding roguelike and roguelite titles that have hit the market in recent years, the update will deliver an endlessly replayable game mode with risk-reward mechanics, all-new weapons and 15 never-before seen locations.
Players will have to plot their path through the Chaos Wastes, adapting to changing variables and unlocking an array of weapons, boons, potions and miracles to turn the tides of battle. While randomisation can work in players' favour, the Chaos Gods will ensure that it'll do its share of hindering too, with cursed areas presenting an additional challenge.
Take a look at what the update has to offer in the trailer above.
