Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade Founder Packs Revealed

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade Founder Packs Revealed

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, the highly anticipated MMO developed by Behaviour Interactive has revealed details of it's promised Founder program today.

During E3 we learned that the game, based on the popular tabletop game from Games Workshop, would be released in late 2015 and that on the 25th June 2014 there would begin a Founder program where eager fans could pre-order the game and gain early access and other bonuses.

So today the details have been released. There are several packs available ranging from £23/$40 which includes 'third wave access', some in game currency and a title, as well as the ability to reserve a character and guild name, right up to £265/$450 which includes an obscene amount of currency, first wave access and a multitude of bonuses. It should be noted these prices are without VAT.

Yes, that's right, phased alpha access. There is not even a hint of a date for alpha yet, but what is clear is that the more expensive packs will get access straight away, the middle pack will get access 30 days later, and the least expensive pack 30 days after that.

There are also a selection of special wargear items available for use in game that you can pre-order now including, interestingly, bike-sized vehicles and some limited edition weapons.

It's interesting that pre-order is up, and some serious money could be changing hands already, when there are only some basic alpha gameplay videos so far. There is a nice (if short) pre-rendered video to watch but that doesn't give much hint of the content of the game. Normally early access games give people something to work with before asking for money. All the same, this could be the MMO we have been waiting for. The only thing left to be said is "Purge the Heretic!"
