War Thunder Goes Modern For April Fools

Gaijin Entertainment often uses April Fools weekend to try out or introduce new features to War Thunder and this year is no different. This time they are bringing an assortment of modern military vehicles to the popular game.

They've announced that starting this weekend a range of modern ground and air vehicles will be added to that game expanding War Thunder's technology tree from five ranks to nine. Modern tanks like the M1A2 Abrams and T-14 Armata will join combat along with aircraft like the Raptor F-22 and T-60 PAK FA and an assortment of helicopters.

Alongside vehicles, there will also be a new Middle East map designed around mixed battles. You can find out more details on the official War Thunder website.

Testing of the new vehicles and map is live now until 7am GMT on the 3rd April.
