Mad Otter Games have released a major update to their MMO Villagers and Heroes. The update is titled “The Secret of the Coille, and introduces a slew of new features to the free-to-play game. It marks the beginning and first instalment to a new series called The Voyage Through The Blighted Isles.

“The Secret of the Coille” offers a brand new Level 75 zone, featuring a chain of new story-driven quests and exceedingly difficult foes to battle, promising to test the abilities of even the most formidable of heroes. The zone itself is rife with intoxicating scenery, hidden wonders, and the occasional nightmarish surprise or two. New monsters, music, bosses, achievements, items and much more have been added as well.

The update is not only for high-level players though. While the update and patch contains a vast number of improvements to the game itself, crafters can expect an entirely new element of gameplay known as Legendary Crafting, as well as the addition of a series of Elite Crafting Quests. Significant combat, gathering, and quality of life improvements have all been made, most noticeably in auto-sorting features, xp modifications, and the introduction of a special new instrument tailored to players, which allows for refined salvaged materials from existing gear.
