Brought to you from Top Hat Studios, Vengeful Heart is a dystopian visual novel with a PC-98 aesthetic.

Play as Josephine Lace, a young hydraulic engineer who lives in a world where the planet's water has run out. Whilst the poor struggle to cope with this permanent shortage, Josephine sees her career as a chance to improve her living conditions — but not for long, as she ends up homeless by a twist of fate and swears vengeance against the system that ruined her. Join her as she finds other vengefully hearted folks to assist her in enacting her revenge.

With a story rife with social commentary, Vengeful Heart was influenced by anime of the late 80s, such as Bubblegum Crisis and Akira. Still, Top Hat Studios would like to announce any resemblance to any characters from Vengeful Heart is purely coincidental.

This game will have Josephine's role branch into wildly different directions depending on her choices, as she goes out of her way to destroy the oligarchy. So, enjoy the colourful aesthetic that will take you back to the PC-98 days as you experience a horrific post-industrial future. Appreciate the water you have as you play Vengeful Heart and immerse yourself into their synth-wave soundtrack as you take down the system.
