Valve Challenges Epic to Boxing Match - Winner to Become Sole PC Store Front

There can only be one goes the famous saying. We've seen plenty of intense battles in our time between competing technologies. Betamax vs VHS, HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray, Mass Effect Andromeda vs Cup-in-a-ball, the list is endless. But now, all eyes are focussed on Steam vs Epic Game Store for the battle of PC digital download. Now, Gabe Newell has suggested a novel way forward.
Gaben has thrown down the gauntlet, offering to close down Steam and concentrate instead on the development of new games, but there's a catch: he'll only do this if Tim Sweeney beats him in the boxing ring.
In a statement to the press, Gabe said:
It's clear that PC consumers are being harmed by the segregation of digital gaming. For this reason, I am challenging Epic Games to a fight. A standard rules boxing match between me and Tim Sweeney. If I lose, I will close down Steam and Valve will return to making games and if Tim loses, he will do the same. The winner becomes the sole PC digital distribution platform with 100% market penetration. I know Uplay and Origin will still exist, but that doesn't affect that 100% figure.

Genuinely laughing at the crack aimed at Uplay and Origin. Because I genuinely keep forgetting that Origin is a thing that exists.

My money was firmly on Cup-in-a-ball to be honest
