VALORANT Introduces New Game Mode: Escalation
Riot Games' first-person hero shooter VALORANT has just introduced an all-new game mode, Escalation, which looks to put a novel, team-based twist on the familiar "Gun Game" formula.
Instead of starting with relatively ineffective weapons, as is the Gun Game norm, Escalation starts players with the game's best weaponry. As their team of five gets more kills, however, the game will automatically replace those weapons with less and less effective replacements. By the end of an Escalation match, the winning team will be running around with nothing more than a knife, in a desperate attempt to snatch those final few kills.
It's a casual mode which channels the fun and frantic energy of Gun Game from titles like Counter-Strike and Call of Duty. If you're a VALORANT fan, this is definitely something you'll want to check out.
Team-based game mode Escalation is available now for VALORANT on PC.
