Valheim Smashes onto the Scene with a New Trailer and Release Date

Early Access co-op survival game? Yeah, we know. You've heard this story before, but give Iron Gate's Valheim a minute of your time. Check out the trailer and tell us you aren't just a little bit interested in learning more. If you can already feel your fingers reaching for that battle axe and that Nordic beard growing around your lips, you'll be happy to learn that Valheim hits Steam Early Access on the 2nd February.

We thought we were done trying out new procedurally generated survival games with crafting and base-building. Perhaps we were wrong; perhaps a bit of Viking charm was all we needed to re-spark our interest. Maybe it's the giggle-inducing, over-the-top song choice (Shield Wall by Amon Amarth, by the way); maybe it's the vibrant, soft focus art style; or maybe it's the wild enemy design, but something's caught our attention with this trailer.

Valheim releases on Steam Early Access on the 2nd February.
