Update 6.66 Arrives for DOOM Eternal with New Game Mode and More

DOOM Eternal has received its 6.66 update, with a bunch of free content for all players.

The new update features a new arcade-style Horde Mode, BATTLEMODE 2.0, two new Master Levels, and more!

The Horde Mode will have seasonal leaderboards to encourage competition. The players will start off with all of the perks, runes and upgrades, armed only with a mastered Combat Shotgun. As waves of demons are destroyed, new additional guns will be unlocked.

Completing all of the encounters and puzzles will unlock 7 new skins, including the DOOM II slayer and the Biker Slayer.

The BATTLEMODE gamemode is getting an update as well. It will feature an all-new streak-based Ranking System with rewards, matchmaking, leaderboards, a new arena, and a new playable demon called Dread Knight.

And lastly, the levels Mars Core and The World Spear are getting Master versions for players to be able to tackle. Slayers should keep in mind, however, that The World Spear Master edition is only playable if they own The Ancient Gods – Part Two DLC.

DOOM Eternal's Update 6.66 is out now on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
