Unconventional RTS BOID Releases Unconventionally
BOID, the RTS from developer Mokus, is the indie developer's first title. With so many RTS games out there, how does a small dev stand out from the crowd? Well, Mokus' unique release method might just do the trick. The Multiplayer mode of the game, which is now out of Early Access and available on Steam, is completely free. There are skins that can be purchased, but nothing non-cosmetic is chargeable. The unusual thing though is that there's no single player campaign out of the box. If you want to practice or play on your own, you can buy a ten hour long single player campaign DLC pack.
The game in itself is unconventional. There's only one resource to manage, that being your army itself. As you expand your empire, you will capture spawner bases that allow you to generate more units and morph them into classes. The game is published by tinyBuild and is available on Steam right now.

This isn't unconventional per se, since it's the exact same model that Starcraft 2 uses
