Ubisoft Reveals Assassin's Creed Memories
Hot on the heels of Hearthstone's success, Ubisoft has announced it's own tie-in TCG, Assassin's Creed Memories.
Promising players the chance to explore new eras and revisit familiar ones, Memories will be an iOS app for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad that according to the video game company will be a "blend of RPG, strategy and card battle elements." Players will recruit allies from the ranks of history's greatest (alleged) assassins to battle against one another. Memories will also offer players the chance to customise their own assassin and their allies to compliment their playing style. The app will feature both a single player campaign and multiplayer for up to 20 people.
The game's Facebook page has confirmed Ah Tabai of Black Flag (who was a mentor to James Kidd/Mary Read and later Edward Kenway), and a redheaded woman who looks to be Anne Bonny, renowned pirate and Edward's former quartermaster-turned-lover. Ubisoft also makes reference to revisiting colonial America and has confirmed the return of both Rome and Ezio Auditore, however they have yet to announce any other characters or locations.
Despite officially announcing the game, Ubisoft has not provided any sort of release date or timeframe for Assassin's Creed Memories--other than vague promises about it "coming soon." Memories is still in beta, according to its Facebook page, so fans may have a while yet to wait.
