Ubisoft May Not Release an Assassin's Creed Game in 2016
In news that may come as a shock to many, Kotaku are reporting that Ubisoft may not release an Assassin's Creed game at all this year. Sources are suggesting that the publisher are hoping that a bit of a break will help them perfect the next game, due to be set in Egypt.
The lacklustre response to the latest title set in Victorian era London was largely blamed on the widely publicised issues with the previous title, Assassin's Creed Unity. Alongside this was the worry that the series has hit a level of saturation, with too many entries in the franchise too quickly harming sales and consumer confidence. With this in mind, it seems that a two year release-cycle may be the way forward for the series.
The new title is currently codenamed Empire and the article suggests that it will be taking place in Egypt as well as Greece and Rome. Little more is known at this stage, but as we hear more, we'll make sure that you're the first to know.

I tried to write something witty and detailed but it all boils down to what my gut reaction was to this news: "Good".
