Ubisoft Is Going to Bring Back Steam Day 1 Releases with This Game

Ubisoft has had a really rough few years. After the latest release Star Wars Outlaws saw less-than-favourable performances, it seems like the company is deciding to go back to one of the strategies they left long ago: they are returning to Steam releases going out simultaneously with their Ubisoft release.

In hopes of changing this downward spiral that they've been facing, the team is going to release their most highly anticipated title alongside Steam!Assassin's Creed: Shadows will be the first game in a long time to make a Steam release immediately, giving players the opportunity to play in their platform of choice should they so please. This is the first Steam Day One release since Starlink: Battle for Atlasall the way back on the 30th of April 2019, meaning that it's going to be the first in five years!

Look forward to Assassin's Creed: Shadows on Steam on the 14th of February 2025.
