Ubisoft Cancels Assassin's Creed Unity Season Pass

Ubisoft Cancels Assassin's Creed Unity Season Pass

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Unity hasn't exactly gone off to a good start. With the game being paned by critics for it's review embargo as well as it's technical issues on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it wasn't exactly the new generation Assassin's Creed game we wanted.

Assassins Creed Unity Bugs2

Fortunately Ubisoft have finally listened and have promised the problems will be fixed, and have even launched a blog dedicated for the progress. Now, Ubisoft Montreal CEO, Yannis Mallat has released an apology for the abysmal state Unity launched in. He had this to say:

"Unfortunately, at launch, the overall quality of the game was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues. I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game

at its fullest potential"

So it's good to know that Ubisoft finally admit to the problems and not just try to patch it away.

However, Ubisoft have gone step further by cancelling the titles Season Pass, and instead offer the Dead Kings DLC for Free. Not only that but if you are a current Season Pass owner you will get a Ubisoft title as compensation on top of all the additional DLC coming to Unity in the new year.

You can choose from one of the following:

  • The Crew
  • Far Cry 4
  • Watch Dogs
  • Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
  • Rayman Legends
  • Just Dance 2015

Not bad at all! Considering the price of the Season Pass was only £24.99. Should mention that; to be entitled to this offer you would have to have been an owner before this announcement, as the Season Pass is no longer available for purchase (although it might be from some stores, if lucky). For more information you can view their released FAQ here.

Lastly, Patch 3 has also been released and has over 300 fixes for game; fixing numerous bugs and issues.

Of course Ubisoft promises more fixes and still want your feedback to make the game better, so if you're an owner it's encourage to get your voice heard.

Wow. That's some pretty impressive fail right there. Sure, if you want Far Cry 4 it's not bad but yeah, it's not great.

Nah, I'd rather Rayman for the £25 I wasted. You know, really shaft myself in the foot.
