Twin Mirror Releases on PC and Console
Developer DONTNOD's (Life is Strange) latest title, Twin Mirror, is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (exclusive to the Epic Games Store on PC for one year). Check out the game's launch trailer above.
Ex-investigative reporter Sam Higgs is one conflicted guy. He's an analytical mastermind, able to retreat into his "mind palace" at a moment's notice, assessing the intricate details of the world in near-superhuman detail. As a result of this, however, he can also be emotionally distant, cold and calculating—relying on his more empathetic "Double" comes into a play, a representation of his more emotional side which can be employed when Sam needs to navigate the treacherous waters of human emotions. It's this split which causes the basis of Twin Mirror's interpersonal interactions: cold efficiency vs. warm empathy.
When Sam returns to his childhood town, Basswood, following the passing of his best friend, he becomes embroiled in the West Virginian town's myriad mysteries. It's up to Sam (and you, as the player) whether to pursue them with his trademark analytical streak or employ his emotional Double in order to better reconnect with his friends and family. What will he do? Well, that's up to you.
Twin Mirror is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (exclusive to the Epic Game Store on PC for one year). It's also backwards compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
