Turok 2 Remaster Confirmed

After the success of the first game being remade, Nightdive Studios have announced that they've secured the rights to create a high definition remastering of the second title in the series.

The Turok games were originally published by the now defunct Acclaim Entertainment back in the late nineties and early 2000s. They helped keep the struggling company alive, and helped boost sales of Nintendo's N64 console at the time, with literally millions of copies shifted. With the demise of Acclaim in 2004 and the subsequent fire sale on their assets and IPs, it was always going to be tricky to get the rights for any of the games, but having managed it for the first title, Nightdive set to work after release to do the same for the second.

It seems that all of their hard work has paid off, as the company have announced on Steam that they do indeed have the rights and Turok 2 is being worked on already. They were tight-lipped though on when we can expect to see the game released:

"In our quest to bring you the most authentic experience at the highest quality level available we've decided to give Turok 2 the love it deserves and release the game "when it's done" which is why all we've been able to say is this:

Turok 2 is coming!"
