Trove's Heckbug Events Are Now Available

Trovians that love Heckbugs will be happy to know that they are back and are here to stay... at least as items. Players will have an opportunity to get their voxel hands on unique items like the Heckbug Ball Mount and the Bouncin' Heckbug.

In this year's event, players will participate in an eight-step quest chain that will take them to a Geodian Cave, called Sunken Sunvault, where they must help the Heckbugs in order to get a new lockbox that rewards Crystals, Heckbug Eggs, a new Heckbug Ally, and even the Heckbug Baby Mount from 2020's event. Players interested in getting more Heckbug Eggs — which they can unlock news companions with — can also find them while exploring caves.

Everyone that participates in the quest for love will also receive an extra temporary Heckbug ally and, considering invasions will appear twice as often, players might need the extra hand; especially because the Dragonfire Peaks have also been invaded by pests from purgatory, which have a shield that can only be disarmed by the Trovian's companion Heckbug. Breaking through the defences will allow players to damage them more effectively and defeating them is crucial for everyone interested in having a chance to earn a Skittering Heart Box that can contain a Bashful Lovebug Mount or a Dormant Block Dragon Egg.

The Heckbugs in Love special event will be available from the 8th of February all through to the 22nd.
