Tropico 6 Expanded With the Game's First Paid DLC and Another Free Update
The newest entry in the long-running Tropico franchise Tropico 6 from Limbic Entertainment, has just received its first paid DLC pack: The Llama of Wall Street. To mark its launch, Kalypso Media has released a trailer taking a closer look at what players will find in the DLC. Check it out at the top of this page.
The Llama of Wall Street primarily adds an array of dynamic stock market mechanics to the core game. Players will be able to influence and provoke individuals to play the stock market, alter the prices of sought-after goods and react to a suite of economic events like 'Greased with Arabian Oil' which sees a harsh tariff added to goods traded with the USA and Middle East. In addition to this, the DLC adds more ways to customise the 'Prez', new purchasable buildings and a whole new sandbox map.
The free update, Seguridad Social, adds a new Warehouse building for stockpiling goods. More interestingly, it also includes a new sandbox map: Rio, and introduces a 'Social Security' edict which allows students and retirees to receive government income to avoid going broke.
Both the DLC and free update are available now for Tropico 6 on PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
