Transformers: Rise Of The Dark Spark Announced

Titled Transformers: Rise Of The Dark Spark, this title will be available for all current systems.  PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC, Wii U and 3DS and released sometime this year, presumably during the summer when the movie Transformers Age OF Extinction comes out.

The video being a teaser there are no clear story points, but it appears as if gameplay will take place on Cybertron, as in the Cybertron series, as well as on Earth as in the Cinematic series.

The trailer opens with Optimus Prime (voiced by fan-favourite Peter Cullen) narrating about every force having an equal and opposite.  It shows an Earth city ravaged by war, fading into an alien city.  Then shows Cinematic-Optimus transforming into a truck, Cinematic Bumblebee landing from a jump and then a Cybertronian transforming into a Seeker (Cybertronian jet), possibly Cloudburst - as Optimus is talking about 'Heroes', we can assume it's an Autobot.

 Bumblebee

Then Optimus says 'Villain' and it begins showing a version of Shockwave that could be on Cybertron or Earth, given the background.  Followed by Cybertron-Soundwave and an Cybertron-Insecticon, possibly Kickback.

Optimus, still talking opposites, talks of Victory and Defeat over a silver Transformer exiting a ship, followed by some action shots of Cybertron-Optimus - then Cinematic-Bumblebee.  This is followed by more action starring various Cybertronians.

"Two Worlds" comes up before the camera turns around Cybertron-Optimus and fades to Cinematic-Optimus.  "Two Sides", again in the Transformers-font, before showing us Cybertron-Sideswipe and Cybertron-Kickback.  "One Goal" comes before Cinematic-Optimus does his signature Face-Slicing move on a silver Transformer - possibly the one we saw before.  "Protect Earth" transforms into "Destroy Earth" - before the now-obligatory Grimlock-spewing-hot-plasma-as-a-Tyrannosaurus Rex shot.

Then Transformers: Rise OF The Dark Spark and "Two Worlds Collide 2014", along with Activision, Paramount Pictures and Hasbro Games logos.  It does show TransformersGame.com - which takes you to High Moon Studios'-run website advertising Transformers Fall Of Cybertron.  However, High Moon are not developing this, the honour apparently going  to Edge Of Reality, developers of The Sims, The Sims 3 and most recently Loadout amongst others.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this teaser is - it doesn't show Megatron.  There is no way for the game to take place on Cybertron during The Great War, with Optimus Prime there and not Megatron.  The videogames, comicbooks and cartoons all stem from one Aligned Continuity 'Bible' created by Hasbro and as there has never been a period shown in other media where Megatron was missing without Optimus being missing too, it stems to reason that Megatron must be in the Cybertron parts at least.

However, it also stems to reason they do not wish to spoil the new Transformers movie, or create confusion about it, so chose to leave Megatron out of it as Cinematic-Megatron is dead,
