Total War: Arena Patch Includes new Gergovia Map
The ongoing beta testing of Total War: Arena is bearing more fruit today in the form of a new content patch. With it, Sega have changed a few things around to rebalance the game, including some buffs to Militades to make him a more effective commander. It's no longer possible to place deployables inside of enemy units and there's an update to matchmaking for help optimise it. The meat and bones of the update though is the largest map in the game to date.
The Gergovia map features a network of twisting streets with tight corners, perfect for laying traps and tactical ambushes. The Roman siege Garrison and the Gallic reinforcement camp sit opposite each other on different sides of the town so gaining control of the town can lead to a swift invasion of the enemy encampment. To show off their handiwork, Sega released this shiny new trailer, showing the Gallic town in all its glory.
