Torchlight III Release Date Announced

While PC players have been enjoying the dungeon crawling antics of Torchlight III in Early Access form since June, it will soon be time for their console brethren to join them. That's right, on the 13th October, Torchlight III will release in its finished form (not counting any post-release updates) for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A Switch release is also planned for later this year.

Originally developed by Runic Games, Torchlight is known for its light-hearted dungeon crawling gameplay and supremely addicting loot-based gear system. This latest entry in the series is the first not developed by Runic Games, instead Echtra Games has taken over development (with Perfect World Entertainment still behind the publishing wheel).

So far, Torchlight III has not earned the same widespread praise that met Torchlight and Torchlight II. With this full release, we'll find out whether those criticisms were Early Access hiccups or fundamental flaws.

Torchlight III releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on the 13th October for £30.99. A Switch release is planned for later this year.
