tinyBuild Snaps Up Three More Development Studios
Developer and publisher tinyBuild (Hello Neighbor, No Time to Explain, Pathologic 2) has announced that it has acquired three new developers for its roster of first-party studios. They are We’re Five Games, Hungry Couch and Moon Moose. Together, they bring the number of studios owned by tinyBuild to seven.
We're Five Games is widely known for its comedic physics-based delivery 'simulator' Totally Reliable Delivery Service, which recently passed 14 million downloads across all platforms. As a first-party studio, We're Five Games is busy working on an updated version of Totally Reliable Delivery Service—set for release on Steam on the 1st April—as well as a fully-fledged follow-up set in the same universe.
Hungry Couch hasn't actually released a game yet; it's working on its debut title Black Skylands, a sandbox exploration sim set in a steampunk world in the clouds. The game is set for release in Q2 of this year, with a demo available now on Steam.
The final studio, Moon Moose, is another which is still working on its debut title Cartel Tycoon (which we previewed late last year). It's set for release early this year, and a demo for the game is available now on Steam.
With these latter two acquisitions, it appears that tinyBuild is looking to expand its portfolio of up-and-coming studios, helping them grow as they approach the release of their debut games and beyond. We can expect to hear more regarding them in the following months and years.
