Timesplitters Reboot Confirmed
It's been a few years since Koch Media obtained the rights to the Timesplitters IP, and longtime fans of the PlayStation 2-era franchise have been wondering what's going on. It turns out that Free Radical Design, developer being the original trilogy, has been resurrected - specifically to work on a new Timesplitters game!
Known for its humour, co-op story missions, and frantic local versus multiplayer, Timesplitters hasn't had a new game since 2005's Timesplitters: Future Perfect. A fourth game was announced, but subsequently cancelled by the time the studio was purchased by Crytek, and renamed Crytek UK in 2009. The studio was closed in 2014.
Which brings us to today, when Deep Silver have announced the reformation of Free Radical Design, in its hometown of Nottingham. The team includes founders Steve Ellis and David Doak, but not much more information is available.
To finally be able to confirm that the studio has been formed and that we have a plan for the next TimeSplitters game is incredible. While we cannot tell you anything more at the moment, we look forward to sharing information in the future.

For now, at least, the studio is still being built, which is going to include posting job listings.
We'll keep you updated as more Timesplitters information is released.

Woah! I can't tell you how many hours I spent playing Timesplitters 2 with my brother as a kid. Excited about this one!
