
Three Seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! From Konami
Yu-Gi-Oh! is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2016. To celebrate this significant milestone, Konami plan to bring the series to an ever larger range of devices. There will be a new game based on the hit anime for three of the seasons of 2016.
In Spring, a new mobile game Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links will be released, followed by a new game for the 3DS in the summer. After that, they will be skipping Autumn and releasing a new online game for consoles and PCs in the winter. If that's not enough, existing games Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation will both receive receive major updates this year.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! series is based on both Kazuki Takahashi's manga of the same name, which has been serialized in Shonen Jump magazine since 1996, and the subsequent Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series. Konami released the first console game in 1998, and the series, including the trading card game, is still popular to this day.
