THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2023: Outcast - A new Beginning

During the 2023 THQ Nordic Digital Showcase, we were given a gameplay glimpse into the upcoming sci-fi action adventure, Outcast 2 - A New Beginning, the long-awaited sequel to the 1999 title Outcast. In this first look, we were treated to the wonderful landscapes, flora, and fauna of Adelpha, the planet the player finds themselves stuck on. With the aid of a jetpack, the player is able to zip, zoom, and fly around the world, exploring the ancient buildings and interacting with the local populace, the Talans. You can even dip into the lake for a swim!

The core ideal of Outcast - A New Beginning is that everything is connected. By helping and working with the Talans, players will receive various benefits and skills to use to protect and enrich the people. The more the Talans tribes are helped, the better their specific skills are! In addition to concrete benefits, helping the world of Adelpha heal will visibly change the environment, letting players see their handiwork. Farm, tame, and find the connections between the world!

Regretfully, it's not all fun and games, as Adelpha are under attack from the robotic Invaders, who have severed the Talans' connection to the world and are actively trying to harm the land. Plan your strikes strategically and equip yourself with a modular weapon featuring 30 upgrades which can change the way you play instantly. Want to switch from a shotgun to a rifle? There's a mod for that! Mount your tamed beasts and cut off the enemy's supply lines or take the fight to their strongholds, players are free to pick their own approach!

Outcast - A New Beginning promises to be a fresh take on the open-world genre. Forget towers and checklists and go about rebuilding the Adelpha your way.  Even better, it is close to starting Beta testing, so wishlist the game and keep an eye out for a chance to explore this 80s and 90s sci-fi wonderland early!
