Thimbleweed Park Update Launches With Steam Summer Sale
Remember back in the old days of adventure games when we didn't have walkthroughs and companion guides? If you're old enough to remember that, then you probably remember hint lines. You'd ask permission from the bill payer, or at least pretend you did, and then rack up a £1 a minute uber phone bill to get hints for your favourite games.
If you had nostalgic pangs from the above paragraph, then you'll love the new update to Thimbleweed Park, as the in-game phone system now has a hint line. With the phones in the game being fundamental to a number of puzzles, it's nice to see them take another pivotal role.
There's also another round of voice acting being added to the game, with the cast returning to the studios to record chatter between the main characters. Now, when two playable characters are in the same place, they can talk to each other. It won't change how the game plays, but it does add some nice flavour to it.
As well as the new update, the game is coming to new platforms soon, with iOS and Android versions expected later in the summer. There are hints of other platforms too, but no confirmation on that just yet.
If the new update to the game, or our glowing review of it, aren't enough to make you want a copy, then perhaps a hefty discount would do? Throughout the Steam Summer sale, the game is being discounted by 20%, with the price dropped to $15.99/£11.99, or your local equivalent.
