Thief of Fate Completes The Bard's Tale Trilogy
The Bard's Tale Trilogy is now complete with a new update that brings the final game in the trilogy, The Bard's Tale III: Thief of Fate, into the collection. The update also brings with it the promised Legacy Mode which allows players to customise their experience to be more like they remember it.
The Bard's Tale Trilogy is a complete remastering of the original series of dungeon crawling classics from the mid-late 1980s, it contains Tales of the Unknown, The Destiny Knight and Thief of Fate.
Each of the games has been modernised and the experience unified, making the games play more consistently and including quality of life changes like auto-mapping and simplified inventory management. Each of the games also has updated art, including some never-before-used art from the series creator Michael Cranford.
This latest update also brings with it the long-awaited Legacy Mode which enables you to turn off a lot of the modernisation features if you want to play the games in a more hardcore, faithful manner to the original titles.
The Bard's Tale Trilogy is available for purchase now for PC from both Steam and GOG.com
