The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - PC System Requirements Revealed

While the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still sometime away, PC gamers will be pleased to know that CD Projekt Red have been kind enough to released the official system requirements for the upcoming RPG epic in advance. Useful for those whom are waiting to upgrade their PC's before it's 19th May 2015 release.

So here they are, the minimum and recommended requirements for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Minimum System Requirements

  • Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz
  • AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940
  • Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660
  • AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870
  • RAM 6GB
  • OS 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1)
  • DirectX 11
  • HDD Space 40 GB

Recommended System Requirements

  • Intel CPU Core i7 3770 3,4 GHz
  • AMD CPU AMD FX-8350 4 GHz
  • Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 770
  • AMD GPU Radeon R9 290
  • RAM 8GB
  • OS 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1)
  • DirectX 11
  • HDD Space 40 GB

Not bad, certainly not the most demanding out there. Of courses, that's looking at the minimum requirements for those who want to take full advantage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will most certainly want to upgrade, if you don't already meet the recommended. 

Any PC gamer will also tell you that Minimum and Recommended doesn't mean you must have this and that, it means you have to equal or great than. So, if your card or processor isn't listed, compare it as well as there being many benchmarks tests once the game releases. 

Of course, if your PC isn't up to scratch you can also consider either the PS4 or Xbox One versions.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launches 19th May 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
