The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - 16 Free DLCs For Everyone

Anyone who purchases The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on any platform will receive 16 pieces of DLC for free. They are not pre-order bonuses, they are not from any participating retailer, it is simply buy the game and you'll get the 16 pieces of DLC for free. Something that doesn't happen at all often these day.

In an open letter from Marcin Iwiński, co-founder of CD Projekt Red explains how DLC has affected today's games and that it is now dangled in front of peoples faces as either pre-order incentives or small pieces that are payable on top of the already purchased game. CD Projekt Red don't believe in this and instead they want to thank all those who support them by giving the DLC away for free to all owners.

The 16 pieces of DLC are planned to be released on a weekly basis starting February 25th, a day after the games launch. The first two pieces available are the Temerian Armor Set (horse armor included) and a Beard and Hairstyle Set for Geralt. Followed by another two pieces released every week, for free. The DLC is also available to all those either purchase the game on day of release or after release.

CD Projekt Red are certainly the company that keeps on giving and it's not the first time. When The Witcher 2 launched it was released without DRM (Digital rIghts management) simply cause they believed it doesn't help stop piracy. They also released the Enhanced Edition a year later for free to all owners.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt releases February 24th on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
