The Town Of Light Gets A Release Date

LKA.it announced today that their debut game, The Town of Light will be available early next year. The game was due to launch at the tail end of 2015, but they made the tough decision to postpone for a number of reasons.

The Town of Light is a psychological horror game, set in the abandoned Volterra Psychiatric Asylum. You play as Renée, a 16 year old girl suffering from mental illness. The game is based on real events, in a real asylum. Somehow that makes it infinitely creepier.

It got delayed due to the team wanting to deliver their ultimate initial vision for the game, in terms of both story and gameplay mechanics. 

Luca Dalcò, creative director of The Town of Light said that “since it is our first project, we want to make sure to use all the time available to make all the game mechanics work perfectly. It was not an easy decision but we are sure it is the best one for the game and for the players.”

The Town of Light has already won numerous awards for its story, and has received praise from many media outlets, so it's definitely one to look out for. It is set to be released on the 26th of February 2016, and will be available for the PC. It will also have Oculus Rift support.
