The Sims 4 "Create-A-Sim" Feature Revealed

With the latest installment of The Sims 4 headed for stores this fall, Maxis has given players a first look at the game's updated "Create-A-Sim" feature, which is arguably one of the most important parts of the game.

The Sims 4 has introduced a much more tactile approach to designing your Sims; players can physically click and drag various features such as noses and foreheads to precisely shape their Sim's appearance. Maxis has also chucked its long string of menus from The Sims 3 in favor of what they clearly hope will be a more intuitive approach to the process.

While the video focuses mostly on the appearance side of the "Create-A-Sim" process, it also briefly touches on the personality and aspiration side. Aspirations are lifetime goals for Sims, which now allow them to unlock a related additional trait such as learning skills faster or building friendships more easily.

The Sims 4 is currently set to drop this fall, although there has been no confirmed release date.
